Concussion Service

The aim of the service is to provide early access, timely assessment and treatment for adults and children after a mild head injury, known as a concussion. The therapists will provide you with advice, solutions and strategies to assist in your recovery. You, your family, GP or ACC can refer to our service for support to help you recover.

The symptoms of a concussion include, but are not limited to:

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Memory difficulties
  • Decreased concentration
  • Slowed thinking
  • Noise or light sensitivity
  • Easily annoyed or upset
  • Mood changes
  • Visual disturbances
